Troy made a tweet that it will be on NFL Network.

That really sucks TBH. Of all the options for TV under the SBC, that's the only channel I don't get.

I've got it with my base package. Love the continued exposure.

Last week I noticed the Troy and Georgia Southern games were in my future DVR recording but didn't know why. I'm now guessing our game at Georgia Southern will also be NFLN.

Troy getting some nice between this and the App St game.

Totally agree. Amazing how being in the Sunbelt feels SO different than being in CUSA. Looking forward to every game. I even find myself watching Sunbelt games the Herd isn't in. Honestly, I don't believe I ever did that with CUSA. I'm guessing a lot (if not all) Herd fans will say the same.

Troy's first OOC win over a 1A team was in 1999 against Cincinnati.

Troy became a 1A Independent in 2001... but had already had 1A wins over Cincinnati, Mississippi State, South Florida, UAB, MTSU, North Texas, ULM, etc. before playing Marshall in 2003.

Troy's 2003 win over Marshall was significant because Troy had just completed the expansion/renovation of the football stadium, and Marshall was supposed to be our high-attendance game to help open the stadium (Marshall finished the previous season ranked #19)... but before that game, Troy had a "soft opening" against SE Louisiana.
