Hands down the worst AV install company I have ever encountered and the athletic department keeps going back to them because they are always the low bidder. But their work is always absolute crap. It's kinda mind-numbing to see them keep going back to this same vendor time after time oblivious that they are the problem.
I know you know all of this from the industry you work in, but the entire A/V product/coordination with live entertainment (BMB, dude on field) is poor. Even back in the early 90's when I was playing kit for the Bronco Pep Band, we had a well coordinated script for time-outs, award presentations, etc. to make sure no one walked on anyone else. The other disappointing thing is that they've had a year to iron out the wrinkles and we still had:
-Bad pixels on the display in the corner by the flag pole
-Graphics and assets playing on three displays with two different aspect ratios which led to full lines of text being eliminated on the Seelye Center boards...this is what letter boxing is for and obviously not used
-Poor coordination between the live music/BMB/refs...this is NOT hard to coordinate. It literally takes two walkie talkies and some attention to what is happening on the field
-BMB playing while we are under center...again, this is NOT hard. If we don't huddle, BMB doesn't play save the Fight Song Tag for first downs. The end. As a former BMB member and the guy that tapped it off for YEARS, you just have to pay attention.
-I think the audio issue has been discussed enough, but I would add that you might also want to check to make sure that the system you are running can actually handle the Hz range for the music you want to play.
Some of these things are equipment issues and need to have a financial investment. The rest of these are just attention to details and take no investment other than focus.
I'd submit that nothing is purely an equipment issue. Any equipment issue is merely a symptom of a people issue where either the wrong equipment was specified, it was improperly designed, it was setup improperly, or there's inadequate skill of the operator.

So you all think that Salopek is healthy and it was poor O Line play and scheme that rendered the offense impotent?

I think Salopek is healthy (except for the shot he took in the back at Ball State), the O-line is rebuilding and Pitt has 1 if not 2 all-American candidates on their D line. Likely the best D-line we’ll face all year. Hopefully Jack can bounce back against G5 competition.

Sure is.
Serious question for everyone. Does anyone think our new Offensive scheme is terrible? What happened to the RPO? We killed PITT with it but didnt run it much today....Also, I love Jefferson but he is not a receiver out of the backfield. That is taking reps away from the young guys like Henry Wilson and Kaeveon Mack. I'd love to see Harbowski attempt a pass. I know it's only 3 games I don't think Salopek is the answer.

Salopek is farther ahead in passing than Jon Wassink. Remember what the University of Michigan did to Tim Hiller. Salopek had no time and no pocket to manage. I don’t think he got to set up a single time. The defensive ends were crashing ends in and squeezing him back or out very fast. Pitt’s defense probably was stewing over their loss to us for an entire year.

During the presser after last year's game, Lester said something like they knew what Pitt was going to do because Narduzzi's been running the same defense for years.
I bet ol' Nard remembered that one, lol.

He sure did. He mentioned that he knew what WMU Offense would do.

I mean if Narduzzi wants to act cocky because his defensive line of P5 recruits successfully hassled a freshman QB behind an inexperienced OL, let 'em.

Concessions were terrible but new vendor probably didn’t know what they were doing yet. Plus it’s not like we’ll have a crowd like that every game & lines will be short.
Attendance was good, about as full as it gets.
Everyone in my party seemed really down about the loss, but was it really any worse than when we lost to Michigan St in Kalamazoo in 2015 (started 1-3, ended up winning 8 games including a bowl game)????
We started 4-1 last year :0 Might start 2-3 this year. So far have started at least 2-2 every year under TL. Will be interesting to see how season goes if we fall into that deficit early. Honestly, might do the team some good playing as an underdog in the MAC.
