It’s a long trip to California after a long-ish trip to Michigan. Hopefully we keep the Sun Belt magic alive, but I’m not putting any expectations on that game.

Although, we are 2-0 playing in the state of California: SDSU in 2015 and UC Davis in 2010 (UC Davis canceled the return trip in Mobile in 2011 after our win).

See - the Bruins aren’t going to be taking us lightly after the week the Sun Belt has last week. Here’s their QB on South Alabama:

For sure. That whole conference has been doing their thing this past week, so we know the challenge at hand. They’re a really good team, have a really good defense, a really good scheme on that side of the ball, so we have our [work] cut out for us, they run a lot of twist games up front, so the offensive line’s going to have to communicate really well and we’ve got our [work] cut out for us in the secondary for sure.

On a side note, what does a quality control analyst do? Think it has had any affect on the offensive side of the ball? Just curious to see if you're enjoying our old OC

You know how Nick Saban has a lot of analysts (Butch Jones and Major Applewhite were recent analysts) that can help analyze things, help with gameday logistics, or provide legwork for anything else that is needed? It’s not an actual coaching position that counts against your limits, but is kind of an advisor that can provide input in certain areas. South has two analyst positions to do that too. I’m enjoying Major Applewhite’s offense. 03-drunk

I really want to be convinced that ODU can win this one... UVA looks like they are underperforming, or maybe they are just not good but they should have a much better offense than what we have seen so far.

Believe we have an 11am CST kickoff (Saturday morning) . . Which should put halftime at 12:30pm CST, approximate . . .

I expect that from about 12:30pm Saturday, Baylor will be happy . . . . waiting until Sunday morning, not required.

What did he actually say here instead of "work"?

Tale of two halves. Liberty totally dominated in the second half.

Week 3 SBC match ups
I really think Old Dominion and South Alabama have a solid chance of picking off another P5. Good luck to both of you this weekend.

Our in game discipline, play calling and cohesiveness is much better than last year. I think we are definitely better overall…how much so remains to be seen. Memphis beat a bad Navy team and got spanked by what appears to be a pretty good Miss State team. So, like us, it’s hard to say how good or bad Memphis is…but I think we are much better than last year’s team. Astate will cover the spread and this should be a tight game.

I’ve got a good feeling about this game. We win outright.
Our games are historically crazy and close. -20 is nuts.

I almost nixed this thread. His spreads for some of the games aren't even close....
