Our OL needs to get better between now and then. But yeah, it’s gonna be fun!

It won’t be pretty for the Cajuns. We have lost some really talented OL during fall camp. Our left side of the OL is really not up to our standards. We struggle to establish the running game.

If we can’t fix that before we get to Marshall we will drop that game by at least 17. Any team who gets one dimensional and gets pass happy allows the Herd defense to create havoc.

It will be a long day for the Cajuns.

But wait...I thought now, according to some Cajuns fans, without Levi Lewis "handcuffing" us, we'd be throwing for 500 yards and 6 TDs every game. 05-stirthepot

On a more serious note, yes, we need that O-Line to gel over the next three weeks so the running game can get started early and often before facing off against Marshall. We need it to happen before ULM and South AL.

Don't look ahead in this conference Marshall...never...ever...look ahead. The Sun Belt offices do an amazing job of setting up conference schedules to be very difficult for some teams.

In 2014 App was forced to play at Louisiana and at Arkansas State in back to back weeks, winning both and becoming the first team to beat both at their own stadium in the Sun Belt I believe.

Last year App had Louisiana and Coastal back to back. A few years ago Arkansas State had Troy and App State back to back I believe. It's very hard to win back to back games at times in this conference. Many a ranked team have lost their first week in the AP Poll because of the way this sets up.

Give fields 4 starting NFL OL ... I think it would be interesting

I’ll take the 310 yards 5td’s and 0 INT’s from last night every game

Every conference game we have scares me.

Cajuns play South the week prior to Marshall. But they should be 4-0 heading into at least the South game. Rice stinks, and ULM never wins in Lafayette.

Even better. I think we do a better job against ULM on the road than we do at home.

Last time we lost in Monroe was in 2004.

Same here but it really is a great feeling. It's so much different now. The era of a mediocre Marshall team basically sleeping walking to #2 in the division with a 6-2 record is over. Every single week is going to be a fight.

They even make us travel to Boone some years. Crazy!

This is so true. I suspect Huff has this under control, but these are kids who could potentially be buying into media hype. The ND game is OVER, and has zero effect on how we do this week. Well see how the Herd handles prosperity when the take the field against the Falcons. I think Huff gets them through it all, however.

Yup. BG isn't handing us a win because we beat ND last week.

This is where Huff is going to prove himself in keeping this team focused. We do not need to focus on ANYTHING but BUGS. Three things are glaring out against us:

1. We are coming off a HUGE win
2. Our roster is young and can buy into the hype
3. We have a history of playing like hammered poo poo up there.

All valid points, but no one on that team including Huff and Tricket have any connection with that history. So it shouldn't effect them at all.
