It is pretty ridiculous that Ole Miss hasn't scheduled OoC opponents of merit. While I like seeing home victories, I'd trade a blowout win against a directional school for a respectable showing against a namebrand one. Hell, even Arkansas has changed that for the next few seasons. Of course, I may soon be longing for the days of playing MTSU and UCF as opposed to Texas this year and Michigan next. :ninja:

GW, I have that answer for you, but I will post it on another thread. I do not want to contaminate this one!! 03-lol

Thanks for the info, moreb. I looked it up since you gave me a roundabout year, and sure enough......We got drilled 21-0 in the 1955 Sugar Bowl by Navy, just after the 1954 season. Being in the Sugar Bowl, I'm guessing Navy wasn't an embarrassing loss. I know they used to be a powerhouse, too, and I'm guessing this game was in their prime.

Very cool that you were there, moreb.....was that played in the old Tulane Stadium?

Last time we played Missouri was about '74 or '75, in Jackson. If I'm not mistaken, They were nationally ranked at the time and the Ole Miss "D" never allowed them to cross the 50 yard line. Outstanding performance! 04-cheers 04-bow 04-cheers
