Why would we just give up a sure W like that?

Last time Cincy came to Raleigh they went home with an L. Sure win my buttocks.

And then what happened on the return trip to Cincinnati the follow year? I seem to recall 44-14 for the Bearcats at Nippert.

A Cincy fan popped off about the series...not me. They are the ones canceling...not us.

Dude, come on. Just quit acting like we're scared of you.

Ok Cincyfan....have a good season.

WHY do so many of you seem to hang out on this board?
03-idea

Because they aren't stupid. They'd much rather be in the ACC.

Better geography.
Actual history with several schools.
Better academic peers to associate with.

The ACC is where they'd be if they could choose.

07-coffee3

The ACC is where Cincy would have preferred being if they had been offered a few years ago, for all the obvious reasons -- geography, rivalries, cultural and academic fits, etc. I think it's too late now. I doubt Cincy would be so interested in a soon-to-be watered-down ACC as they would have been a few years ago, in pre P2 days. After the SEC and B1G take their substantial bites, the ACC left-behinds will have pitifully few options to reload. UConn maybe, and USF, but who else?

Do you not realize how dumb this sounds? "We prefer the already-watered-down Big XII because we think the ACC will also be watered-down some day (but isn't yet)". What if your crystal ball is defective and the ACC never suffers this fate - then what?

I predict it will be the ACC that will be standing tall if We can renegotiate a better ESPN deal that will keep Us intact. It can mighty lonely out in the plains and weatfields.

It sounds dumb only if the ACC's most desirable properties decline the P2 invitations that come their way. But believing that they'd decline those invitations sounds even dumber. What if your crystal ball is defective? The ACC has some hungry neighbors and only fourteen years or less to bolster its position. Or so it seems to me. But you may know better. Which non-dilutive programs do you think would be willing to jump to the ACC now? And which do you think would be willing to jump to the ACC after FSU, Clemson, UNC, and UVA (or whomever) move on to greener pastures?

It’s not arrogance, it’s just a risk-benefit analysis. Being reunited with familiar foes would be the benefit, but UC would be paying penalties and a buyout to the BXII for not making substantially more money. Moreover, there is a greater risk of ACC teams being poached than BXII schools.

As to why there are UC posters here, UC has a lot of active posters on this message board- always have. We do have long standing relations with the Cards, the Hokies, the Panthers, The Orange, etc. Heck I have shared posts with sone on here for over a decade. I feel like I know you.

Do you have credible information that can back up this claim?

It would seem that the ACC with a contract that guarantees payment from ESPN for the next 14 years and a viable linear network that is up and running and gaining revenue every year is inherently more stable that the Big 12 that has none of those advantages.

I’m not saying departures of ACC schools are imminent, but nobody in the BXII is going to get called up to the B10 or SEC for various reasons.

If Cincinnati ever gets the opportunity to join the ACC regardless of the penalties it has to pay to the Big 12, it should take it for long term success. 04-cheers

So we traveled to UConn on Saturday night. We easily had 25% of the crowd. This despite Elton John playing back in Syracuse in front of a sold out Dome. This was about a minute left up 48-14. This was Cuse fans sitting in their preferred seats.
