How is this not a huge trademark infringement?


Using the phrase Longhorn and a symbol that looks almost identical to the UT logo?

There's all kinds of laws. Contract law, trademark law, and Poe's Law. This is definitely the latter.

It’s not the Texas Longhorn Steakhouse. It’s just Longhorn Steakhouse. Longhorn isn’t something UT made up either.

Agree. Longhorn name does not belong to Texas exclusively. Now if it was the Citronaut Steakhouse, UCF could maybe have something to say about that. There is no denying where that came from.

Trademarks are categorized. UT longhorns trademark is in a different category from food.
