I'm not sure there was much advertisement around campus for students.
When I was in the Holmes Student Center on Saturday the Campus Activities Board (CAB) had a flyer card with activities for students for the first couple weeks and September 1 had mention of some activity but it wasn't the football game. Also, they had 2021 sports schedule posters near where the old hotel reception desk was. Someone add the 2022 posters pronto!
They should’ve done a attendance drive at all the dorms with players, band, and cheerleaders. Raffle for students and dance party for the dorm with best attendance!

I remember as a freshman in the dorms, the CA would tell us about it. Plus they put a ticket in every student's mailbox. Then from sophomore to super senior years, they had people in every college printing you a maximum of four tickets per Huskie One Card. And still they had people four students on Lucinda handing out up to 4 tickets to anyone who wanted them. I got 20 just to see if I could.
All the students went, we just left at halftime because we sobered up and wanted Taco Bell.

You lush!
I think it's all either digital, or they just use their One Cards to get in now. That's not as fun.
