I felt bad for the QB Sliwoski. He played a good game prior to that.

McCormick was just ejected for targeting.

Saw a lot of targeting calls last night, both FCS and FBS.
Even on teams like Bryant, who almost beat FIU in overtime.

Do we actually have more targeting calls against us that the average team? I follow a few college football teams closely and it doesn't seem we are any better or worse off than any of the others I follow. Does anyone know if the NCAA keep those stats, would be interesting to know?

Yes, it sure seems like we have had more than our share the past few seasons.

We have had more than enough, though some have been questionable.

Bryant I think had 3 of them last night against FIU. May have cost them the game. They outplayed FIU for the most part (who looks like a below average FCS team)

Just an FYI: there is a 2022 study on concussions and the targeting rule for the PAC12 and it has the raw values in here from all the Power 5 (both upheld and overturned). The numbers suggest from 2017-2019, the average number of targeting calls per team per season was 2.7 in the P5.

VT is looking like the better team so far.
