Even an outsider can recognize a troll when he sees one. At least his team has a football team, a very good one.

Utah - not in the WAC
Army- not in the WAC
Montana - not in the WAC

Anyone can go and live in Utah, it’s not an exclusive state. Living there doesn’t mean you’re a WAC fan or alumni

Do you still visit the SLC and LoneStar message boards? Since you’re going to claim that because Utah was here 30 years ago, that gives him reason to visit?

I didn’t realize posting on this board was limited to WAC teams and as long as they don’t talk trash Id much rather have a poster from the Big Sky join the discussion than a WAC poster whose team doesn’t play football coming on here pursuing an agenda

What other conference boards do you post on? At least my team is in the WAC, and he is saying I shouldn’t be posting because SU doesn’t have football? That’s why I asked who he rooted for. Apparently not any WAC teams. So kind of hypocritical to tell me I can’t post here.

My “agenda” is belittling crap talking fans. Tarleton has a few crap talking fans. They love to spread lies and talk big, but when they have mediocre results, they don’t bring it up.

I don't talk garbage about your school. My thoughts are your school doesn't field a team in football so your negative comments about the program are very shallow considering you have nothing to compare to.

Just like I don't rag you for your men's soccer team because TSU doesn't field a team in that sport.

The D2football forum is not what it used to be. Some of the banter was incredible along with meet ups at games. Good times.

Been to several SUU games as I had a few friends I served with attend, I'd like to see the Thunderbirds do well and the WAC as a whole, we could use another Western FCS Conference. Now that irrelevant point is out if the way, when you get a Football team you can talk, until then enjoy mediocrity.

Unless one or two of your Big Sky comrades change their minds and decide it’s in their best interest to join the WAC I don’t see a long term future for the WAC as a stand alone FCS western conference. It’s more likely we will continue our alliance with the non-western ASUN.

Who gives a $hit? You’re in a WAC Football forum trying to decide which WAC fans are allowed to have opinions about WAC topics and bragging about your non WAC school.

RE: WAC Football 2022
Back to the topic of actual WAC football-

Matchup Time (ET) TV/Mobile
Southern Utah at 13 Utah 1:30pm P12N
Northern Arizona at Sam Houston 7:00pm ESPN+
Stephen F. Austin at Louisiana Tech 7:00pm ESPN3
Tarleton State at TCU 8:00pm ESPN+ Buy Tickets
Prairie View A&M at Abilene Christian 8:00pm ESPN+
Chadron State at Utah Tech

Not a good week for likely wins but some nice paychecks. Utah Tech should get a W over a d2 school. ACU and Sam Houston should be favored. Southern Utah and Tarleton are up against it. SFA has at least some hope of upsetting FBS LA Tech.

Anyone see it differently?

For me, the second most interesting game is SFA. They got routed in their first game and barely beat Alcorn in their second. Are they overrated or just struggling to find their groove? We may not know about them until they play Sam Houston.

I am still trying to figure SFA out. I think we will know more after the LA Tech game. The Sam game would definitely tell more, but I think the Jacks picture will be better after Saturday either way. Since we have to play them twice this year, what I have seen gives me some hope of at least splitting the games. ACU and PVAM should be a good matchup and test for us as well. Too bad their band isn't coming. I will be curious about the NAU vs SHSU game, although Sam should be pretty favored. I am curious to see a significant level of improvement like what I saw in JSU. I thought Sam would have at least scored 7-10 against TXAM.

Utgrizfan, The two guys trying to derail this thread don’t have WAC football teams. Those of us who follow FCS know that the Griz are anything but ‘mediocre’ and currently ranked 2-3 in national polls. Feel free to ignore them and focus comments on WAC or the FCS.

I am really looking forward to watching Sam Houston play against an FCS opponent, albeit a not so solid one but the game(s) of the week are SFA @ La Tech and PVAMU @ Abilene Christian.

The Jacks if they play four quarters could really have that upset potential while Abilene Christian needs to defeat PVAMU to bolster the conference's position, a loss would not be good for anyone. The Panthers continued to beat their rival Texas Southern (it's like the lopsidedness of SHSU vs SFA) and should be a top half of the SWAC West team.
