TXST beats Rice 2-1. Improve to 6-0-1. Rice was picked to win CUSA.

South Alabama is 4-0-3 with wins over Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Southeastern Louisiana, and McNeese and ties with Mississippi State, Lamar, and North Alabama. Next up is Texas A&M in College Station before facing Georgia State in SBC play.

Astate beat UCA 3-0, and Missouri State 1-0

Lost to Arkansas 4-1 but gave up a PK on a bad call and 2 own goals. Arkansas’ only legit goal was a weak shot that hit the post and bounced in…kind of luck. Lost to UAPB as was mentioned earlier…where we dominated the possession and shots but just one of those games. UGH!

Tied UALR where neither team could mount much offense…and NW (Louisiana) State (gave up a goal with 17 seconds left)…another gut punch game.

Team still trying to find it’s identity.

ULM ladies are 5-0-1. Not sure if we are good because we have played 5 SWAC teams. We were headed for a #3 seed in the tournament last year but had to forfeit some games (never knew why) and ended up seeded around 11. 3 OOC games left.

Played an ineligible player for seven of the first eight games which included the first two conference games.

Would be surprised if ULM is still undefeated heading into conference play. Have two more SWAC teams and first-year program Tarelton State left.

Great time in general for soccer with the men’s World Cup this year and women’s World Cup the next.

We drove down and watched Chelsea play Charlotte this summer. Amazing the support “football” is getting down South.
