The PAC12 needs for the BIG to declare their near future expansion intentions and what schools are being sought, Otherwise, PAC can't sort out matters with a level of high confidence. Doubtful the BIG will purposefully do the Big12 that favor.

We can understand what the SEC generally intends to do. That is waiting for the ACC's GoR to expire or terminate early through a negotiated deal if achievable.

What Notre Dame does, plays highly into both situations. I expect ND continue with the status quo with a new enhanced contract with NBC.

For the PAC, it's whether the B10 is taking any schools, and if that includes WA in some way.

For the SEC, I don't think it matters at the moment, They could take Kansas to tip the scales between B12 and PAC, but otherwise, it's as you said, they are likely looking east.

And I agree. ND will find a way to stay independent, even if it's in name only.
