Democrats really don't want Green Party on NC Ballot
They don't want any potential vote loss in what could be a tight race for the Senate seat in NC

They had the Dem controlled Board of Elections deny the Green Party access due to fraud, even though the signatures not in questions were more than enough to qualify for access per the rules

Greens took it to federal court and the judge took the BOE to task and claimed the Greens were wronged and sole jurisdiction
https://www.carolinajournal.com/opinion/...bad-faith/

The BOE reversed course and relented allowing access

Now the Dems of NC are going to the liberal 4th circuit claiming they will be irreparably harmed since the Greens missed the July 1st deadline, even though the only reason they missed it was because of the Dems on the BOE

No one expects the Greens to win or even be competitive but with the Libertarians on the ballot in sure wouldn't hurt to have the Greens on their as a counterbalance.
