The New Yorker is one of those media sources that I find myself trusting al-Jazeera more than. Actually, the list of such sources is growing.

Trump's endorsement of Hitler sounds just like him. What a clown what a dangerous clown.

Its interesting to me how stupid and contradicting this article is. Trump---who supposedly incredibly stupid and refused to listen to his military advisors----wanted the hell out of Afghanistan immediately. Yet---he never completely pulled out and had created a framework to exit that would allow for a long term continued presence in the nation that would allow the US to operate with virtually no casualties until the Taliban completely complied with the exit framework. In other words---he didnt just bail out like he wanted to----he listened to the military commanders. It was Biden---who ignored his commanders and ran like a frightened rabbit----when he had been told Afghanistan would likely quickly collapse. Ye---the New Yorker ignores the actual disaster scenario---and is back with yet another hit piece on Trump. Earth to the New Yorker---Trump hasnt been president for early 2 years. Your boy Biden is president and he presided over a complete disaster of an Biden mandated rushed Afghan exit policy. Hey---New Yorker---spoiler alert---Lindbergh made it and the US won WWII. Catch up---folks---its 2022.
