RE: Inflation Reduction Act Has Passed Senate
Welp----no reason to expect inflation to go down anytime soon as we just substantially added further to increasing energy costs while printing another trillion in fake money to chase the same limited pool of goods. Oh---and then they raised taxes on evil "corporations" to boot---pretending like those additional tax costs wont be passed on to the actual consumers in the form of higher prices. The Democrats have only one solution for every problem----print money and raise taxes on producers...they dont seem to understand that both are inflationary.

Well, that should pretty much guarantee the end of Pelosi as speaker, gives the Rep a huge bounce in November and assure that nothing will be getting any less expensive until 2024

Exactly. It simply sets back the efforts of the Fed---meaning monetary tightening will probably go on too long until they eventually break something...then stuff gets "big bad" fast.

Holy Moly is this true ?

500% hike in oil and gas lease rates, new methane emission fees for drilling on federal lands and a new methane waste emissions charge on natural gas.

33% fee hike for onshore and offshore oil and gas drilling on federal lands and waters.

The bill slaps a 16.4 cent per barrel excise tax increase on BOTH domestic crude and imported petroleum.

Quote:Study Finds 96% of the Data Used to Support Democrat Bill Is Flawed

... a new study at The Heartland Institutue shows that 96% of climate data used to justify this climate push is flawed. Climate experts have consistently pushed back against climate alarmist narratives.

[i]A new study, Corrupted Climate Stations: The Official U.S. Surface Temperature Record Remains Fatally Flawed, finds approximately 96 percent of U.S. temperature stations used to measure climate change fail to meet what the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) considers to be “acceptable” and uncorrupted placement by its own published standards.

The report, published by The Heartland Institute, was compiled via satellite and in-person survey visits to NOAA weather stations that contribute to the “official” land temperature data in the United States. The research shows that 96% of these stations are corrupted by localized effects of urbanization – producing heat-bias because of their close proximity to asphalt, machinery, and other heat-producing, heat-trapping, or heat-accentuating objects. Placing temperature stations in such locations violates NOAA’s own published standards (see section 3.1 at this link), and strongly undermines the legitimacy and the magnitude of the official consensus on long-term climate warming trends in the United States.

“With a 96 percent warm-bias in U.S. temperature measurements, it is impossible to use any statistical methods to derive an accurate climate trend for the U.S.” said Heartland Institute Senior Fellow Anthony Watts, the director of the study. “Data from the stations that have not been corrupted by faulty placement show a rate of warming in the United States reduced by almost half compared to all stations.”

Yeah. That little “reduction” in prices at the pump won’t last long. I’m sure a few missile strikes in Kiev, and we’ll be back to calling this the PutinPriceHike 2.0

I'd have one ounce of respect for them if they would just call it what it is. The liberal-tax-and-spend-because-we-just-can't-help-ourselves act.

F you Joe Manchin.

I hope you get a huge tapeworm that grows in both directions and that chomps on your arsehole while simultaneously attaching to that lying lizard tongue of yours. You sold out the state of West Virginia and the people of the United States. I hope your impending retirement sucks and that you become a pariah in that great state that you claim to have served. I despise liberals, but I hate, with every fiber of my being, those that claim to be one thing, and then are bought out on important legislation like this. I hope you like the taste of Chucky Schumer's wrinkled taint, as you just bent over to service your new master, you sellout piece of fraudulent crap. F you, chode.

Distillate fuel inventories in the U.S. just witnessed the biggest drawdown for this time of year in at least 32 years.

My take on Climate Control perceived or real makes no matter.

1. How much do we need to spend to make the Earth 1 degree cooler? If you can't answer that simple question then you don't need any money for climate control.

2. China and India are investing in Coal burning plants and already produce more harmful emissions than us by a lot.

So my take is we are in a boat and we are busy bailing out water while China and India are drilling holes in the bottom of the boat.

US Government is inept incompetent and has absolutely not one ounce of common CENTS!!!

Those two Georgia senate seats sure look big now. And republicans pretty much did everything they possibly could do to lose them.

I'm really getting frustrated (in case you haven't noticed). I'm counting on republicans to protect me from the socialist/communist democrats, and they're doing a horrible job of it.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, but my enemies need better enemies.
