Oh, I should probably mention that my two older sons both currently attend UK. :) I'm financially invested in UK, but emotionally invested in NIU.

It's a great stadium with not a bad seat in the house. Let me know if anyone has any UK/Lexington questions.

Go Huskies!

Are you doing a guided tour of the trail or just hitting them on your own? If you’re familiar with them can you name a few you really like? Thanks.

A lot of them may be full, but we are hitting Four Roses and Woodford Reserve. They are, I believe, 1 hour tours and tastings. There may be a few small places in downtown Lexington. Don't wait to make reservations.

I started to look a month ago, all the Bourbon Trail distillery tours to east were booked.

If you are getting there Wednesday night, NIU Alumni Association is sponsoring a tour of 3 I think. 9am to 6pm on Thursday. 100 bucks.

Any idea if you can just roll up and do tastings? Sort of like at wineries?

Not sure... I've never been to one.

We were in KTY 8 or years ago and they have tasting rooms and places to teste the different distilleries.

We are coming down on Friday but found only limited tours open. Buffalo, Woodford and Castle & Key all full. Can still visit but no tours.

Try New Riff. It is just south of Cincinnati in Kentucky and on the way to Lexington.

Saturday we are doing something called Bluegrass in early AM.

NIU's ticket for Kentucky are in section 12.

Also rumors say that the Kentucky game time will be announced by Sept 12 at the latest.

Section 12 is in the same location as section N-8 was at Bryant Denny back on 9/20/03. Hopefully the same result. Wish I could be there.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
