It can't be much worse than zero attendance in 105 degree direct sunlight at noon, and competing against the Cartel for attention and limited resources. Nope.
What will keep the Cartel and it's pro players from playing whenever and as often as they want?
I note that the difference on weather displayed by these two reflects the differences between Kentucky and Houston.
Rules prohibiting them from doing so.
Who is going to make the rules prohibiting Alabama from playing in the spring? I agree, the P5 and their players are notorious rule followers, they would never, never, break a rule.
Alabama? A&M? Never!
No seriously, all this depends on the P5 breaking away from the NCAA, and forming their own semi-pro conglomerate.
I can't imagine why a player from an SEC school would want to play for a G5, but he would have to officially transfer to that school, and lose another year of eligibility when he plays. Then transfer back? I don't think so. Transfer rules are about to be overhauled, and I doubt that kind of movement will be allowed. At least I hope that kind of movement isn't allowed.
You and your questions OO!

Better to ask and answer them before you start your league.
What I have yet to see is how you will keep the P5, after they break away, from playing a fall schedule AND a spring schedule. Who is going to make and enforce the rule that they cannot?

clt wouldn’t mind pushing the cfb season later into the fall, or adding more bye weeks
