I think the reporter Nancy Cordes meant July 20, not August 20. But notice that Kirby doesn’t answer the question about why the Biden team was urging her not to go. He simply evades the question, which tells you they were urging her not to go. That means they’re kowtowing to China.
They pressed him and he still refused to answer what they had said to her.
Then when Real Clear News reporter Philip Wegmann asked why the Biden team hadn’t told China to pound sand and stop belly-aching since this was normal behavior to go, Kirby acted as if he didn’t know what was going on, and accused Wegmann of “manufacturing drama.”
This is about as weak as we could have for anyone in this position. He throws Taiwan under the bus and still hasn’t even condemned China’s actions. How can they not condemn a threat against us and the Speaker? It’s just madness that this is their response. If I were China looking at this, this would embolden me and prompt me to think if we won’t even strongly condemn them over our Speaker, why would we do anything if they invaded Taiwan?
Round 4,367 of this administration digging their own pot holes, driving straight into them, and blaming the car manufacturers.
The Biden administration is scared of Beijing. It's fairly clear to anyone paying attention that they didn't want Pelosi visiting Taiwan because it might make Xi mad. Interestingly, for some reason, she likely wanted to go anyways. So, in order to put extra pressure on her to not make Beijing mad, they outed her trip in the press knowing it would potentially derail her visit. Instead, it has made the administration look weak and feckless (Weak and Feckless sum up their foreign policy well) and now they're trying to blame it all on the people asking the questions because Beijing keeps making the administration it's little biatch. As of now though, no public outcry from liberals to ban the Chinese gov't from twitter for their mean, and downright life-threatening tweets about our sitting SOH.
China can easily embarrass Biden* and his son Hunter but they'll save that for the right opportunity.

When it comes to the pot holes (or sink holes in some cases) this administration creates and then drives into---their current standard tactic is to simply claim there is no pot hole and that the photo of a car sticking out of a sink hole is simply an out of context picture of a car making a transition from incredibly level pavement to a slightly bumpier stretch of road. Recession---what recession? Failure in Afghanistan---what failure? High gas prices? What high gas prices? Why gas is cheaper this week than last. Dementia? No dementia here----why Joe cant remember the last time he forgot something (probably the only true thing they might say).

In 1983 the Soviet’s shot down a Korean Commercial Airliner. In 1988 the US shot down an Iranian Commercial Airliner. That’s just two of the 33 commercial or civilian aircraft shot down since the end of WWII.
None of them started WW3. The next one won’t either.

Its a sad day when I have to count on that witch Nancy to keep our president from looking like a little scared punk....but thats literally how far our nation has fallen. It was bad enough that Ive spent a year and a half watching as Joe Manchin has been the only thing saving us from the abyss.....now we have this crap hole situation....
