It's ironic that Jackson, who left the Rockets and transferred to Arizona St. to raise his prospects for the NBA, ends up signing overseas and then Rollins, who stays with Toledo for his sophomore season, ends up being drafted and getting an NBA contract.

From a certain perspective I guess someone could find irony. Maybe more than was expected in Rollins case but nothing contrarily expected. To me it was dominoes.

I don't recall talk of Rollins transfering after his Fr year to raise his NBA prospects but Jackson's transfering probably enabled his prospects quicker. It put the ball and scoring more into Rollin's hands.

Whether Jackson would have gotten drafted if he'd stayed? I think he transfered because he knew that wasn't going to happen. He's much older, his talent established. He took the right risk to see if it were higher and it didn't hurt. He's in a good league, going to make good money.

Same way I see it. I didn't think Jackson had a legitimate shot at making it to the NBA. Shooting is way too inconsistent, and I didn't think he had enough skills to be an effective point guard at 6'0" in the NBA - and also be able to defend other quicker and bigger point guards. Hope he makes a lot of money in Europe, and who knows, maybe he will develop into a very good scorer that could get a shot in the NBA at some point. Rollins still has a lot of development to go through as well. At his age, I think the Warriors felt he still had a lot of physical development that would likely continue as he gets to 22-23 years old. Just look at Curry coming out of Davidson. Saw him play in the NCAA regionals at Ford Field in 2008. Physically, he looked like a high school junior his senior season at Davidson.
