It is crazy - I joined Twitter after the Elon Musk announcement that he was buying Twitter. I immediately noticed on the Tweets of nearly every conservative person I followed, there would be unrelated memes and Tweets by odd looking liberal accounts that had absolutely nothing to do with the Tweet... they do it to everybody. Bots, all.

Spending 10 minutes on Twitter just now reminded me why I closed the account last time.

There's a certain Conservative that states the same thing.. He makes a tweet each morning and there's about 20 responses that state the same thing.

Thanks Tom for saying something that wasn't said.. Nobody here said it was limited to Conservatives.. We've stated what we've seen and heard from Conservative accounts..

I don't see how twitter has a leg to stand on here. If these data are so private that a Non Disclosure Agreement won't cover them, fine. But Musk's question still stands, and is relevant to his ability to value the company in his due diligence review. They've given him data that even they say isn't as accurate as the private data (contains personal details, apparently). If twitter refuses to provide critical data (even if for good reason) they're going to have a tough time getting a court to force a sale.

This could backfire on them as well.. Musk was offering $44 Billion and if they prove the BOT count is higher than Twitter stated, which means fake accounts he could basically be buying it cheaper thanks to this stunt.

Twitter kicked the hive. Now every shareholder who just lost $$ in the cratered deal and falling stock and any shareholder who alleges the company was committing fraud has a dog in the fight.
