DOJ is suing Arizona over proof of citizenship requirements

This is our DOJ at work. They don't have any other pressing things to be working on? THIS is their priority?

Interesting given that the NY Supreme Court just struck down laws which allowed immigrants/non-citizens to vote in local elections. The court said you must be a citizen to vote.

I wonder if the AZ case will be struck down.

The only reason to oppose such requirements is the intent to cheat.

Suing where? Federal court? If was Arizona I would simply ignore it. If they show up in my state, I'd remove them physically.

DOJ is playing a dangerous game..

I seem to recall someone else suing and the case going all the way to the SCOTUS and the outcome reversed a controversial decision.

DOJ sues Arizona.. Goes to the SCOTUS and the SCOTUS says, well sh*t maybe people need to give proof of citizenship at the polls.

The only way that even survives an immediate motion to dismiss is if they court shopped for an extreme left wing judge who they know will give it an extremely lenient and friendly venue.

Why not just send ballots to Mexico, Brazil, Djibouti, Burundi and South Africa to let them decide who's our president. They couldn't do any worse.

If this suit is at face value and without an ulterior motive, this should not end well for the DOJ.

Yup. Good catch.

The loons have rolled those die twice very recently and lost them both.

Maybe I hope a bit they pursue this(?). Let’s get this cleared up once and for all. Just like 2A and the found, mystical “right” to kill a baby.

Codify this ish once and for all as well.

Careful what you wish for, loons.

You are close to their desire - not national leaders but world leaders, all United with a common vision. Their take - everything the US does impacts the world, so why shouldn’t everyone be allowed to vote in our elections?

On the flip side, why should their power be limited by borders? It’s why they want to erase ours.
