ACC & Big12 should just MERGE!!!
Maybe just maybe the ACC and the Big12 should look to merge conferences. Allowing them to become the first SUPER MEGA CONFERENCE. The ACC representing the Eastern portion of the new conference and the Big12 representing the Western portion of the new conference. After thinking about it makes some good sense, and if the ACC can reel in Notre Dame and the Big12 gets the PAC12 schools it would garner a HUGE payday for sure. Something that would wreck the GORs and allow coverage coast to coast with some of the best name brands in college sports. A conference of 30-32 schools within each time zone would be ridiculously big to ignore, and one that should put them at the same table as the BigTen and SEC. So what do you all think of a merger???

...I'd think that the 'old Big East' wing would make sense to be in one conference, whichever it ends up being... of course, I think WVU is about the only one NOT in the ACC currently - well, Rutty, too... and UCONN, bless their hearts... (I am a UCONN 'sorta' fan, and would love to see them latch on in a P5, for some reason... I know there's probably some here who do nt share that sentiment... 03-lmfao )

I think if you could take the best 16 of the ACC, nB12, and nPAC schools, say ...

Notre Dame
Clemson
FSU
North Carolina
Duke
Oregon
Washington
Stanford
Arizona
Arizona State
Utah
Colorado
Kansas
Oklahoma State
Virginia
Miami

.... then you would have a truly-P level third conference. One that would command media money significantly more than the ACC/nB12/nPAC is likely to make.

But the problem is, how do you rid yourself of all those other ACC, nPAC and nB12 schools?
