Of the course the answer is none of the above. You would rather be the Patriots.
Cheating is the best option in the NFL.
And the NCAA, as long as you are too big to fail.
UNC cheated- got 2+ Nattys in basketball. Hell they doubled down so hard they didn't even get a slap on the wrist.
Louisville cheated- sure they got their natty revoked, but who remembers that part?
Kansas cheated- current Natty. They'll probably get revoked, but again, who cares. Its like when a newspaper has a salacious allegation, they sell 5 million copies, who remembers three weeks later they run a retraction on page 13D.
But if you're not one of the golden gooses, toe the freakin line.

but hes got a point. Whats the average margin of defeat in those 4. I'm not going to bother looking it up but i feel likes ~3 TDs. basically the same margin of victory Alabama had over Cincy, but ppl will use that as "proof" Cincy/G5 didn't belong, yet ND will keep getting invites over and over.
2020 - lost to Alabama by 17
2018 - lost to Clemson by 27
2013 - lost to Alabama by 28
ND is 0-8 in BCS/CFP games
Truth be told, I can't stand people making an issue out of MOV in a bowl game. A lot of schools have been blown out in major bowls as well but nobody make an issue out of it.
Here's Ohio State:
2020- lost to Alabama by 28
2016- lost to Clemson by 31
2007- lost to Florida by 27
Others have lost big time as well, IIRC West Virginia beating Clemson 70-33 in the 2012 Orange Bowl. Again nobody says boo about it.
Also, fwiw
Cincinnati
2021- lost to Alabama by 21
2020- lost to Georgia by 3
2010- Lost to Florida by 27
2009- Lost to Virginia Tech by 13
Right but often with ND, it was questionable whether they should have been included. And then to get blown out a number of times isn't the best look. As I posted a few months ago, ND was one Auburn defensive stop from making the CFP with probably one of the worst teams they've had in years. Beat FSU in OT, beat Toledo because QB and HC can't count, lose to Cincinnati at home.
Most years I would agree with this sentiment but who would have taken Notre Dame’s spot in the Fiesta Bowl? There was a big divide between then 11-1 Notre Dame and the rest (I guess then 10-2 Michigan State would be next but they had their own warts). The Irish went 5-0 against the ACC, pummeled Wisconsin and it’s only loss was to a team that made the CFP.

Based on their record Notre Dame always "deserved" to be included, but usually people felt, rightly so, that they were overmatched.

I counted 35 schools, which is 1/2 of the P5 schools. Cincinnati and BYU would also be on the list but are not shown. Houston and UCF have won the Peach Bowl while it was a NY6.
Wasn't Cinci in the playoff last year?

They don't join the Big XII until next July.

But they didn't win (the chart is only showing teams that didn't win, not teams that didn't participate).
So IF they included the new B12 teams, it would accurately show both BYU and Cinci based on not winning any.

None of the players or recruits from the NCAA infractions were on the team. The FF and Natty banners are staying up.

I think I know the answer and it was only due to a terrible call at the goal line.
But wasn't that bowl game played before ND beat WVU in '88, 34-21, to become national champions?

They also beat Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl the year they finished second to a Florida State team that they had beaten earlier that season.
