And of course there’s a mass shooting at a 4th of July parade.

RE: Happy 4th of July
So sad. Here are some interesting stats regarding firearm deaths:

Texas Firearm deaths – 14.2 per 100 thousand. 4,164 deaths a year which led the nation. But Texas is a big state.

However, southern neighboring states, such as Alabama (23.6 per), Arkansas (22.6), New Mexico (22.7), Louisiana (26.3), Mississippi (28.6), Missouri (23.9), South Carolina (22 per) far out reached them gun deaths per 100,000 residents. Other states with startling per capita deaths were Wyoming (25.9), Tennessee (21.3), Oklahoma (20.7), Montana (20.9).

The middle range states were in the teens.

The lowest states were in single digits gun deaths per 100,000: California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Hawaii, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island with Hawaii and Massachusetts being the lowest at 3.4 and 3.7 respectfully.
Illinois was at 14.1 per 100,000.

RE: Happy 4th of July
The Highland Park IL killer shot people ages 8-85 with a high-powered rifle for no apparent reason (motive).

Other than to shoot and kill as many people as possible.

The uncle he lived with said there "were no signs of trouble" with him, that he kept to himself, spent most of his time on his computer (as if those aren't "signs").

Said he doesn't know how shooter got the weapon used.

Although now police are saying he obtained it legally.

Of course, Thanks to NRA and gun rights activists.

Uncle obviously didn't go into shooter's room or check out his on-line stuff, which are full of violent images such as he apparently carried out July 4.

Also if you see pictures of shooter on line he has tattoos on face, forehead, neck.

"No signs of trouble"?

First sign of trouble might be - why is he living with an uncle instead of his immediate family?

Sigh...we are going to continue to be a shooting gallery until meaningful gun control laws are enacted and enforced.

Yes, Happy Fourth of July.

You must feel strongly about it to double-post.

She may be a flake but that doesn't mean she's wrong.

Also it is R-E-A-G-A-N (not "Regan").
