Saw where he passed away at the age of 26. Terrible news.

RE: LT fans - do yall know any info on Jaylon Ferguson?
Just learned of this tragedy this morning. Heartbreaking! Jaylon Ferguson was a heckuva ballplayer, and a good dude. Happened late last night, and the cause of death is still under investigation. Condolences and prayers for the family...

That is so sad! He was one of the better defensive players to play in CUSA over the past 5-7 years. Prayers go out to his family and friends.

All-time sack leader in NCAA history. And one of my personal favorites to have worn the red & blue. Not only was he a great player, but he cemented his place in my mind (and heart) when he decided to play in the Hawaii Bowl his senior year saying he would not abandon his teammates in favor of avoiding the possibility of an injury in a "meaningless" minor bowl game...as so many others do regularly.

Character...

Prayers to his family and friends.

SackDaddy was a leader on and off the field. The man dominated every single snap. I’ll never forget him sealing a huge game against WKU on a Thursday night in 2016. He recovered a couple of fumbles in that game but the biggest was on the final possession.

Terrible news. Ferguson was an absolute beast and gave us fits. Way too young to go.

Totally devastated by this. Ferguson was one of those guys you can't help but root for in life. He was such a wonderful young man.

RIP Sack Daddy

I read something yesterday that he had slimmed down and looked to be in the best shape of his life.

I can understand both perspectives but the ones who decide to play in these types of games garner more respect from me. Tough thing for a family to deal with, when unexpected and still a young man.

Fast as lightning. To get back together with all our old WAC homies would be glorious. That's not a slight on anyone here. We are glad to play with you guys and grateful for the opportunity. My Freshmen year was the first year in the WAC and no one in CUSA past of present brought the intensity that a Tech-Fresno game did. Hawaii-Tech was also one of those games you lived for. I can't explain it and I am not saying it is logical but many at Tech (ME INCLUDED) view the early WAC days as glory days for Tech. Of course we would need a couple of Texas teams to go with us but the answer is yes.

You could take Texas State, UTEP, and NMSU. I mean... who else could they get? In the West with so few teams if the PAC (assuming they survive) took half or a third of the MW they don't have much choice unless they get NDSU or SDSU.

Tech would still say yes to that group. That takes the Sunbelt out of Texas which would be to their delight. Tech would prefer to have two to three teams closer but who are we to argue? We would be back in the WAC with more bowl games than our previous stint. It is certainly not personal. I like you guys. We have had some great games together. Tech just always looks West while the rest of the state looks East. Just something else we can blame Tech for, lol.

Yea, I remember them late ones, but it was a great time. San Jose State, Fresneck and Hawaii would put us past midnight sometimes.
