Scott Berry of Southern Miss and his predecessor Corky Palmer, are both former juco head coaches. Hopefully, your new coach will also have the charisma to get the locals interested in baseball and be able to help raise support for the program. Baylor also just hired a juco baseball coach. Good luck to the Hilltoppers baseball team with their fresh start.

Thanks. We are looking forward to a new era. WKU has had some baseball success in the past, albeit nowhere near as successful as USM, but hopefully we can return to a reasonably competitive level of baseball soon.

Sometimes, it just takes one really good year to get things rolling in the right direction. As we all know, at our level, so much of it is about the head coach that is leading the program. You guys definitely hired a winner, and he will have lots of juco connections, which can be a way to get a lot better in a hurry.

There are components there for WKU. Good coach that recruits will help. There's talent in Kentucky and surrounding states. I've driven by WKU and the location is actually in a nice area or I thought it was.

Right coach.. Good recruiting and developing players.. WKU can be a threat.. Good luck to the Red Grimaces.. I mean Toppers.
