We predicted it here. Anyone with an IQ over 85 knew the pedocrats would frick the economy
So the neighbor that we did the prank wars back around the election with was talking to me Saturday. We've decided we don't talk politics and we get along fine. Matter of fact I was helping him move some stuff.. Let me rephrase that, I was moving the stuff and he couldn't figure out how I was able to move it and he wasn't (granted he's in his 60s and I probably got about 80 lbs on him).
Anyway we were talking, he just recently retired. His wife was a psychiatrist and just sold her practice. As I'm cooling down while my son and their granddaughter play I ask the question about, how's retired life going.. They both start telling me it's nice living life with no schedule, having more time to do things together, etc. He pipes in, we have to keep our pencils sharp though.
I look at him and said, what you figuring on to keep your pencil sharp for.
Well all the higher costs are really biting into their budget they set up. I said yea I can see that, inflation is pretty high. I could tell that comment irked them.
The more we got to talking it came out he retired this past year because it was costing him working longer. His wife put the practice up for sale two months before the election and accepted an offer a week after the election.
Then the best comment was made... Under Trump we could've worked another 2-3 years and been set without a question and even have extra.
I said, Ok so are you saying that this current administration's policies are hurting you? Grudgingly they both admitted that under Trump things were better.
I said ok, back up to November 2020, knowing what you know now who would you vote for.
One would think Trump.. Nope they'd vote Biden again.
I said I'm confused... Basically they'd rather barely get by or go in debt to get by than have a Republican in the White House.
