No conference has ever acted defeated when bringing in new schools like the aac fans are doing. Nobody can deny that. But they do appreciate all your school is bringing.

RE: AAC6 are officially leaving next summer
I come in peace.

Why are we even talking about this? The AAC 6 did what was best for them. The SBC3 did what was best for them (us). CUSA did what it needed to do to add the teams they could get.. One proven and some unknowns...but what was CUSA to do? They added the best they could and time will tell.

No need to have a big waving prick fight. Let it play out on the field. I totally understand the uber enthusiasm of Jax St. et al. We were the same way when we moved up. Liberty is a solid addition as is NMSU. I just hope you all dont expand for the sake of expanding.

People want to say CUSA is stripped, but... At least from this Marshall fan's standpoint, the two teams that were the biggest thorns in ours side are still in CUSA: WKU and MTSU. I will miss playing you guys. (Looking at you WKUYG and MTPiKapp). And I will say although the results were not what they wanted, I have tremendous respect to LaTech and UTEP. I was at the basketball game when UTEP had a 9'3" forward who we couldn't stop at all... That dude was a mutant. Killed us. lol.

Good luck to you all. Really, best wishes.

So CUSA has plenty of talent there. I will be watching for sure.

I will miss playing them, but man, they seemed to have our number.

Yeah, I think we are 3-4 vs WKU.. They won three...we won three... and they won the rubber match.

MTSU is the enigma. By every metric, they should have lost, but they rose to the occasion every time.. Like us vs FAU. FAU no doubt had a more talented team at least three years.. maybe more, but we just found a way to win. But in their defense...they have an extra ring... So there's that.

Lol so true. And notice these SBC guys who are insecure are here trolling while the cusa and AAC teams going forward are supportive. SBC guys have a chip on their shoulder to say the least

People like you care and dwell on this a lot more than the new AAC adds and fans. That should make you think

The AAC lost 3 top schools to a power 5 conference. Anyone would be a downgrade in terms of adds. The sun belt added schools while none were taken to go up a level and cusa lost 9 schools so they are thrilled to survive. Very different situations

Good luck to the AAC6. It's been nice not seeing a feces throwing tournament again. Hope it stays that way for the coming season.

They don't have the lowly belt inferiority complex.

Wouldn’t you be upset if you were told you’re moving to the slumbelt?

You would think but I don't believe Texas and OU (and particular OU) is interested in paying the large sum of money needed to leave early. Therefore, don't expect those two to leave for the SEC in 2023.

Yes. JSU and SHSU are playing their final year of FCS this fall. (Playoff ineligible, though I believe both would be eligible to claim their conference title, fwiw.)

Beginning in 23-24, we'll be members of CUSA, but we will NOT be bowl eligible. (Liberty and NMSU will be, of course.)

Finally, in 24-25, all (currently named) members of CUSA 4.0 will be full FBS members with all rights and privileges therein and hereto etc etc.

If 23-24 is CUSA 4.0, I suppose 22-23 is CUSA 3.5, eh.
