Yeah, that article is strange. I think that they are talking about this Brandon Crawford. https://247sports.com/Player/Brandon-Crawford-46141116/ But it looks like they included a picture of the Brandon Crawford from Irmo.

That certainly *is* a confusing article. But..........IF the one ETSU offered is indeed the one identified by "B31crawford", I can say with some confidence that he's too rich for our blood - unless Savage has some sort of "in" with him. Would love to be wrong....

According to the Verbal Commits website, ETSU has a late addition to the freshman class of 23-24 - 6'10" 235 lb. David Meriwether from Lawrence North HS in Indianapolis, IN.

He had 8 listed offers, mostly low major offers, and some mid major offers from Miami (O) and Illinois State. Looks like a low post guy in his video highlights - mostly dunks and blocked shots.

We know that Coach Savage is a good recruiter. Players like that want to come and play for a good coach in a good place. Great get!

Highly impressed with the roster for the hand Savage was dealt. Nice balance with guards and bigs. Really like getting a young big man w/weight!

I remember seeing his name show up on Verbal Commits at the end of August, so good to see they were able to get him enrolled and cleared. Can't even begin to imagine the recruiting environment in which the roster is still being finalized the week before practice starts, but I guess that happened in football and they have nearly 10x the number of players.

I don't know that adding an extra big was necessary, but it's probably nice to be able to have someone in practice to take some reps off Seymour, Parker, and Hughes, who are all likely going to play a lot up front this season. Even if he never sees the floor as a freshman, he will have value.

I think it was much needed. Feel like her or Ilic can back up Parker in the post, and we could possibly afford to redshirt the other. We needed someone with a little weight to them as well.

He posted on Twitter a few days ago, nothing telling, and otherwise not active there. Guy looks high-major, or at least cut out for a top 100 mid major, with height, bulk, decent athleticism, good hands, and relatively quick feet to boot.
