#2 Seed or host
Would you rather be a #16 host knowing a super regional is probably in Knoxville or be a #2 seed in a regional? I vote host and hope for a TN upset.

I say host regardless of the Super Regional. The advantage of playing at home will be huge and is great for your fans. Take every advantage you can get and let the super take care of itself when and if it happens.

Me either, but I would rather play in JI Clements than get stuck in California as a #2 seed like we have before. Take whatever advantage you can get and worry about Super later IMO.

Host. You have to win the Regional for it to even matter.

Host. Just hosting a regional regardless of any other variables would be awesome. I'd live at Bobcat Ballpark for a week if we were to ever host.

Definitely host. Can’t agree more!

For the others that may not know, the Cajuns hosted in 2000 even though East Carolina was the #1 seed. (Can’t remember why they didn’t host) The Cajuns won the Regional and then had to go to the #1 overall seed in Columbia, SC to face USC. The Cajuns stunned the Gamecocks and advanced to their first ever CWS. Great memories!!

ECU didn’t have an adequate stadium to host in 2000. They built a nice one in about 2004 or so.

I think I could live off the brisket Mac and cheese and the Texas Philly for a week as well. 03-lmfao 03-lmfao

I'd rather host. After all, once you're into a regional, you control your own destiny. No matter who you have to play, all you have to do is keep winning and no one can tell you to go home.

Despite what some projections have shown, I don't think GS will host unless the Eagles win the tournament (and might have to do it in impressive style).

That said, Clements would be an absolute mad house if that happened. The stadium was electric for the conference tournament a few years back, and that's when Mother Nature drowned half the people who came to town.

Just an insane season for @TxStateBaseball. They go 44-11 overall, 26-4 in conference in the regular season. Most impressive? Bobcats did not lose a single road conference game. The committee should give these guys a very hard look for a regional host. - Kendall Rogers

A week ago he had TXST as #2 at Stillwater

Whichever way it goes I expect all 3 of our representatives ( I do believe ULL deserves a bid, I just don't think the committee is going to give the belt 4 bids this year) to all get to super regionals.

We (ODU) just wanna get in.

But definitely host. Still hate that ODU was the 11 overall seed last year and we couldn't even host our own regional.

Having hosted soccer regionals the last three years, it’s a blast. Always give your fans an opportunity to watch meaningful postseason games on your own turf (or grass/court/track/natatorium/whathaveyou).

We use gravel, it's a huge advantage!

If the #16 seed wins their region and the #1 seed doesn’t, would the 16 automatically host the super?

RE: #2 Seed or host
What if you were asked to host but they wanted you to not host at your school because your stadium is too small? For instance, would TXST want to host if they only got it at UTs stadium and UT was a 2 seed?

I think you have to bid but there was someone recently (Duke?) that hosted but not at their school.

The #1 seed doesn't scare me. Ask Coastal, they had to go through Florida (#1) in the CWS. And took on LSU (#8) at the Box. in 2016.
