I have other experiences with DPD being jackasses. They are a prime example why some people hate police.

Pasadena, Texas cops are probably the most abrasive I’ve ever had to deal with. They don’t like anyone and they don’t take crap from anyone. If you think your going to act like these clowns in other cities there your outcome won’t be to your liking. I can only imagine the beat down rioters would get there. I remember an encounter there some years back where a group led by a local activist thought they were going to demonstrate in a neighborhood. Pasadena cops with the swat units arrived removed all of them. They had not gotten permission from city hall and were told they could only protest at city hall. If they ever attempt another illegal protest it would be 30 days behind bars.

I was told they have a federal judge so Houston can’t annex them.

Years later I remember this Hispanic friend telling me Pasadena cops don’t like Mexicans. I laughed and told her they don’t like anyone regardless of color. They don’t discriminate.

I’ll admit: I think there’s a lot more to this story than meets the eye. But I really don’t see how you can infer all that from the article.

The clip of her mom on tv telling the daughter to “please come home” gave me that impression as well.

If you disagree, just wait for more details and you’ll most likely see. Go watch the video of her walking out with the dude. Looked pretty voluntary to me.

Time will tell. Perhaps everyone commenting has access to more information about the case then the multiple police departments that have been involved?

A lot more 15 year olds run away than are snatched out of public places.

Because runaways outnumber teenage non-familial kidnappings by about a thousand to one and everyone who watches the news should know that.

The chances a teenage girl was kidnapped like this is so minute that unless there is compelling evidence if that happening (and in this case there’s not) it is almost always a runaway. The mom stated in an article that girl had left home after getting in trouble at school as well.

Sorry you didn’t bother to google the facts of the case (like I actually did) before commenting, or haven’t ever looked up the stats. Add in the fact that the girl is African American, from a major metro area, is the child of a single mother, lives in sketch area, and myriad other obvious factors and you got from around a one in thousand chances of kidnapping up to about a one in 10,000 chance statistically.

The russians performing so poorly in Ukraine has seriously messed with your mind.......

Yeah, they don’t grab them and carry them away kicking and screaming. they manipulate them online into thinking they are in a relationship, parents are keeping them apart, etc.

One morning the neighbor across and down a couple rang my doorbell with the cops asking me to look at my cameras. His daughter was missing.

She walked past my house by herself and walked out of our neighborhood. They got her back a week later from another state, 30 something year old guy had convinced her to run away with him. She knew she messed up on the first day, but couldn’t get away after that.

If you have kids of that age use software to monitor their phones, stay involved and know who their friends are, etc.

Wonder if parents gps microchipping their kids will ever be a thing?

Don't think micro chipping but there are all kinds of apps around that track.

We use Life 360 as a family. Now the kid could ditch the phone but it's good to use for knowing where they are, how fast the car is going they are driving or in... etc

And they know it's hammer time if they shut it off.
