Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. wins Philippines Presidential race
36 years after his father was overthrown, Ferdinand Jr. (known as "Bongbong") appears to be on the verge of winning a landslide Presidential victory -

Children of the 80s, remember Imelda? She's still out there at age 92, not sure how many shoes she has now.

Her shoe count pales to some...LOL

If he is a friend of the USA, it'll help. We really need some more US military in the Pacific region.

Indeed we do need more friends in the Pacific, unfortunately sounds like Bongbong may be more pro-China. At least he has a memorable villain name! -

Lol I like it, in the unlikely event that Hunter Biden ever runs for public office we should absolutely christen him our very own "Bongbong"!

I guess like the Satanists aka Democrats people just don't learn or remember their history. Pendejos, they'll get what the vote for and it won't be good.

Another question if BongBong Biden runs for office is whether his dad DingDong will recognize him by then.

I can't really blame him on the China stance. Economically, China is going to be the country they need to engage with. And they can't win militarily on the disputes on the islands and seas. They need to negotiate.

Oops. "‘Lost’ Picasso spotted in Imelda Marcos’s home after son’s election win" -

Sadly, still no word on Imelda's current shoe count.

How about you go play in the multitude of threads critiquing the Biden administration if that's your thing, and stay out of the ones clearly labelled as discussing other topics if they don't interest you?

Nice try gametroll

You're an obvious racist who critiques Asian leaders and neglects critiques of the bozo in the not so white house.

Honestly shocked to learn that Imelda Marcos is still alive. She fled the Philippines in 1986. Has she been in Hawaii all this time?

Ferdinand Marcos was a brutal dictator. But he was a pro-US brutal dictator. America should have no regrets and should offer no apologies for having supported him in the Cold War context against PRC and USSR. With that said, it’s amazing the Filipino people would want his son to be their leader.

You seem to be unaware that by and large we do not like you. We think you're a troll and a tool. Just another left-wing loon who's a useful idiot and little else.

No doubt she has slowed down now at 92, but Imelda's been a busy lady! Probably wore out several pairs of shoes with all of her efforts....

1990 - acquitted of racketeering in the US; lost case in Switzerland over assets held in Swiss banks
1991 - allowed to return to the Philippines from exile in Hawai'i
1992 - ran for President, finishing 5th out of 7
1993 - convicted of graft in the Philippines, overturned in 2008
1995 - elected to Congress; lost case in Hawai'i over human rights violations during the dictatorship
1998 - ran for President again, finishing 9th out of 11
2001- considered running for Mayor of Manila
2006- started Imelda Collection fashion label
2008 - acquitted of illegal fund transfer to Swiss banks in Philippines
2010 - elected to Congress again
2013 - re-elected to Congress
2016 - re-elected to Congress for third & final term
2018 - convicted of graft & corruption in Philippines, disqualified from public office
