Grading W&M Athletics vs. 2015 Ten-Year Plan Goals
"WAY BACK" in 2015, former W&M Athletics Director Terry Driscoll published the Tribe's 10-Year Plan. Several ADs later, how is W&M as a whole living up to promises made to fans and alums back in 2015? Check out our grades in the link below -- LET'S GO TRIBE!

How do you think they're doing as a whole? Obviously Mann is still new...but changes are needed.

This is the new site of W&M gymnastics practice.
A nice facility between New Town and the Dillard Complex.
I believe this goal has been met. The athletes appreciate it.

I'm glad the gymnasts have a facility that they like, but does it really count as "meeting a goal" if you're just using space in a private off-campus facility?

By that standard they could move the swim teams to the County Rec Center and declare victory. (Although still no diving well, I think).

Agreed. Our teams had a need and unfortunately the past few AD staffs did not see the opportunity to work with the local governments for a win-win. This gymnastics center, along with the newish aquatic facility built near Warhill could have been significantly augmented with help from the College to create truly great facilities to be shared by our D1 teams for practices and meets.

If you look at the thread about redoing campus housing you will see that a key component is a public private partnership. That's the way to go with all facilities, IMO.
