Well, I certainly don't agree with you that James "is a one trick pony." He really hasn't had but one season to show his full repertoire. Even if your harsh assessment is true, it's a pretty damn good trick.

James is not a one trick pony. Before he is done here (let's hope in 3 more years) he will develop into an incredible weapon who will be a threat to score each time he touches the ball.

His decision reversal showed a lot of character as well.

Hope we see him on the other side of the ball soon. He is capable of scoring any time he touches the ball.

James is an incredible athlete but it takes more than that to perform. At least as a KR, you get some leeway to just let your speed shine. It will be interesting where they decide to use him.

I can imagine it's difficult for some that have got to the next level on pure athleticism alone. Always the fastest, strongest, etc. Then to get on the field with everyone who's like that all the sudden you aren't the fastest or strongest and you have to put in a lot more work. I can imagine that's a shock to your ego, self-esteem, etc. Glad he came back and if the coaches believe in him as a person then this event might have been a real positive point in his life, especially given the loss he's suffered.

Wasn't James a Top-3, kickoff returner last year. I know he gave us two of the most exciting moments of the 2021 campaign. If he stays at a KR specialist isn't that enough. We have long snappers, kickers and punters on scholarships. I do think with his athleticism and speed he can be coached up to a solid back. Glad he's back in the Pride.

Absolutely. But wide receiver is a position of need for us. And he’s got skills that are hard to replicate. May as well take advantage of those and put another weapon at wide out.

True. I just get annoyed when players are not loyal to the program. And I know my position is unreasonable in today’s xfer portal environment. But it’s how I feel. Loyalty matters in life.
