Which Conference try to sue a team(UM) and another conference(ACC) for following the rules?

Which Conference had a team(VA Tech) dropped itself from being a plantiff in the lawsuit to joining the Conference(ACC) in which it was suing for damages?

Which Conference gave Notre Dame a sweetheart deal? ND get to keep all sports except for football in the BE. ND get the BE #2 bowl bid and do not have to share $$ from a BCS bowl with the BE.

The BE was only recognizable due to the Miami Hurricanes's track record. When UM went on probation the BE went down as well. Nobody cared about Syracuse or Va tech playing in a major bowl. When UM recovered from probation in 2000, the media was happy to have them back as the top team in the BE. The whole BE wanted to be the 12th team in the ACC. What about the lawsuit against the ACC and UM?

what does that have to do with CUSA taking the Big East's BCS spot?

Yeah, the Big East gets bashed in the media by some. CUSA doesn't get enough media attention to get bashed. {shrug}.

If the Big East is so terrible, and gets bashed in the media like crazy, and all the schools want in the ACC... well, then, what does that say about CUSA, a league occupied by schools that would love to get into the Big East? I guess it's not THAT bad, eh?

I never said the that C-USA will take the BE spot in the BCS. I said the BE will get stripped of their automatic BCS status and will have to earned their way into a BCS bowl. The BE needs the C-USA East teams more. The BCS did not wanted to damage Utah's great season last year, so they put Utah up against Pittsburgh. If Utah have played any other BCS school they would have been crushed.

U'r crazy. Utah was the real deal last year. The team they may not have been able to beat would have been USC.

The BE only considered UCF for football only, however offered USF an allsports invitation.

I really do not know how much ECU was involved in the first BE expansion.

All C-USA Teams should say NO to the BE about expanding. Our Conference is developing, rivalries are forming. The BE want to destroy the C-USA,much like the ACC destroyed them.

West Virginia is about to move up to #12 in the BCS, Louisville into the Top 20. Yeah, the Big East was really destroyed. :rolleyes:

The Big East could end the season with a Top 10 and a Top 15 or 20 BCS team and another team knocking on the door of the Top 25. How are we going to be stripped of their BCS bid again?

The Big East has a team ranked #14 (soon to be #13) in the BCS rankings, another team in the Top 25 ready to jump into the Top 20 and another team hanging around the Top 30 or 35, but the football sucks and the conference won't exist and teams will run to another conference that has one team ranked around #27 or #28 as their best team!? What world are you leaving on!?
