W&M Admission and Athletics
Sounds like the panel issues said “passes.” Unfortunate word to label an outcome intended to covey, “The coaches and Panel believe you have what it takes to be successful at W&M.”

By the way, there is no shame in graduating from W&M with a 2.5 GPA unless a student intends to gain an advanced degree or their potential employer requires a higher GPA. Not everyone has to meet Carl Fowler standards.

Absolutely. For my post, "passes" meant getting through admissions. If the players I knew hadn't said anything, you wouldn't know anything was different. But it's the case for athletes as well as non-athletes that there are many that don't make it through admissions that would have no problem academically.
