I continue to be very impressed with Houston. Just a masterful coaching job by Sampson.

- shead- essentially a redshirt freshmen- not a blue chip recruit
- taze - an unknown pf from a not good midmajor
- edwards - starter on good texas tech team, but was just role player
- fabian - a career 6pts 4rb player prior to this year
- carlton- last big off the bench for uconn last year

they note no other coach was taking this team to the sweet 16.. that coach k wouldnt take this team to the sweet 16

im starting to buy the narrative!!

At the beginning of the season yes, but on Selection Sunday this team should have been a 1 seed and all the metrics said that.

I thought it was a joke they got a 5 seed. Tourney results are demonstrating that. I can see them winning the whole thing

Maybe Memphis is pretty good. Like really good.

it was a dig at memphis, he noted memphis was good.. he was saying why other good teams dontbeat houston..

he was basically saying we have a syracuse zone type of effect .... syracuse is a poor regular season team, but dominant in tournaments, because tournament teams arent accustomed to playing them, while the regular season opponents are

This is how I took it too. Takes nothing away from Memphis beating us twice this year. And If UH and Memphis lined up again tomorrow Memphis could very well win again. No team plays UH harder.

Besides Baylor last year I thought Memphis was the best team we played. And Memphis is similar to Arizona Arizona probably is a little better but Arizona wasn’t prepared to play us how Memphis can.

Take it as a compliment. Penny knows what he’s getting into with us and he plans for it.

Tonight in Sampson presser “we wanted to make Arizona uncomfortable”

Every time Memphis plays us, WE are uncomfortable lol. It’s a testament to penny.

Penny rightly named Houston the standard bearer which the Tigers try to emulate.

Sampson is the national COY regardless of the E8 outcome.

Houston is like a pack of wolves. They all have similar qualities. Dribble, shoot, rebound, play defense non stop. Wolves. Great team.

edit: St.Peters just beat Purdue!!!!!!!!!!! Lol
