Tough loss but a really good game. Probably the best of the tournament so far. I'd put this loss right there with UH's loss to Michigan in 2018 and UCF's loss to Duke in 2019 (all in the 2nd round) as the biggest what if's in league history. Won't be the last time Memphis makes the tourney under Penny.

Had an Auburn fan come up to me at church today and say “that game I watched last night may have been the best basketball game I ever saw. Memphis was playing high level basketball.”

While I hated to lose, I think that what my Tigers did last night was to elevate our program and our coach back to getting the national recognition that we have not had since the Calapari days.

With rare exceptions, I disdain moral victory. The game yesterday is one of the exceptions. It reminded me of the 2005 Duke game Memphis lost, but made a statement.

Penny is a really smart game coach though. HE tends to make good adjustments on the fly.

It appears that Few "bought" the refs during half time, I had Memphis headed to the "Elite Eight" great season... you'll be back better next year, I pity your opponents next tournament
