That is a plus 3 even though it is not accurate. I will provide my reasoning in Kamala-speech.
How many have jumped on me? The number of people who have on me, jumped? The number of individuals who have leapt upon me? Jumping on me meaning those who have been on top of me.
Well that number can be misconstrued by many people here. You see you have used the word "almost". The word almost means close to or nearly as many as which is a very subjective word. Yes, 11 of my staff have moved on to other opportunities, that is true, and yes people have "been on me" as you say. To say almost as many have jumped upon me, than have jumped off would imply that 8 or 9 or possibly even 10 have done the former, thereby classifying "most".
Where we diverge in this statement is semantical in words and numbers. Those who have jumped upon me is much much less since I took office than those who have removed themselves from my staff for other opportunities. And therefore, almost as much is not an accurate statement in the proper context.
Finally Peter Doucey gets a chance to break into this painful speech to ask: "Vice-President Harris, have [in fact] almost as many people jumped on you, than have left your administration?"
Kamala looks at him and says: No, however if you count all the people who no longer work for me in my entire life of public service (not just as VP), it is probably "almost" as many.
