South up 42-29 at the half over Upstate.
Jay Jay Chandler and Charles Manning were our top two scorers all year. We lost Chandler in the last game of the regular season before the SBC tournament. Charles Manning for hurt in the first half of tonight’s game. Hopefully it’s nothing major, but for now we are up by 10 without about 12 minutes left.

South Alabama was up 13 with a little more than 9 minutes left. Then we commit a foul and technical foul at the same time which flipped the momentum a bit. USC-Upstate making a charge, down by 1 with 4:22 left. With no Chandler or Manning it will be tough to hang on. Hopefully we can.

Jags up by 6 with less than a minute left, SC-Upstate with the ball and timeout...

Cliff and company have been scam masters. True white collar crime.

Coastal and Cliff are headed back to Mobile on Monday, March 28 for what is being called the semifinals. But there are still to many teams left in this thing……

It looks like two of the five teams will need to play this week, with the winner advancing to face one of the other 3 teams to make it a true semifinals.
Given NCAA Wants this done by Final Four Saturday, I am guessing that game will happen this week, with the true Semi's Monday and Tuesday and then a final on Friday of next week.

For sure. Look what happens when Boeing skipped right past them with the 737 MAX. That worked out well.
Now they have had a 737-800 fall out of the sky from 30,000 feet.
No airplane should fall out of the sky unless something breaks off. Considering the age of the aircraft, I'm thinking that this is an airline maintenance issue and not a manufacturing issue.
I sort of work for with Boeing Commercial Airplane so when things like this happen it really does affect production. The 737 component lines still haven't regained their previous veracity due to the timing of the software issue and then COVID.
Even a 6 year old airplane with no maintenance should not break enough to come out of the sky the way this airplane did. Something like 90 seconds from cruise to ground. That is nose down coming straight down. Something happened to that airplane that is not normal, something broke, and I would venture it was a manufacturing issue. Unless, of course, there was foul play involved.
A manufacturing defect would've almost certainly showed itself within the time frame that the plane had been used. If this were a private plane flown 8 times a year I may agree with you; but this was a commercial plane that receives maintenance and a "thorough" check after every flight. I'm inclined to believe that they missed something.
It may have been like the Japanese flight in the 80's where the stabilizer broke off or something of that nature. An electrical issue may cause problems but they would be able to glide down at a much slower rate, as would an engine out. Now an engine explosion, damage, or something of that nature may cause it to fall out of the sky.
The way this plane went down was not inline with the MAX issues and it wasn't a max. The failure that isn't yet known hasn't resulted in any other 800 series issues. So it would have to be a one off issue, likely related to maintenance or foul play.

You mean the walk around by the copilot with a flashlight??? Every airplane gets that, or at least should get that.
I agree that this is the result of a catastrophic failure, I’ve seen pictures where it looks like the tail of the airplane is missing, which would cause that type of decent. Now the question is how that tail became “missing”.
As for Boeing, they better hope it was something nefarious that caused this and not a system failure, much like the MCAS on the MAX.

I don’t know what to expect in playing Coastal. The CCU @ USA regular season game was canceled because of COVID issues at USA. USA won on a buzzer beater @ Coastal. But this time our second leading scorer is out for the season and our top scorer got hurt against USC-Upstate and his status should be public soon. Coastal might “coast” to a win in this game.

If one of us wins the game, and no fan is there to care, did it really ever happen?
