It is so good to be back in the tournament. Don't even pay attention to March Madness when we aren't in. It's been too long.

Jalen Duren, Memphis: Duren reclassified last summer to get to college a year ahead of time, and in doing so pushed Memphis up in the preseason rankings. It took half a season, but Duren's grown into the kind of player Penny Hardaway hoped he would get. Memphis could be a one-and-done team or it could give Gonzaga a grinder of a game. Duren will need to be at his best to make sure the Tigers see the weekend.

If we can get the ball to him, he could be Derrick Rose great in the tournament. That is what we will need from him.

Portland is a beautiful city, if u stay downtown you'll be approached by panhandlers every 15 to 20 yrds and
A large population living under bridges in tents.
Be sure and visit VOO DOO DONUTS
If we don't have a Trey Ball, we're gone in game one
I would never set foot in Portland.
My ex moved to Seattle. She hates it for the same reason you don't want to go to Portland. The West Coast nutjobs are moving into Nevada now. It's like the bubonic plague spreading eastward.

Boise State
Gonzaga
Arkansas
Duke
That's a tough "row to hoe", as we say in Tipton County, but I have confidence in our team. GO TIGERS!!
Covington Tiger, good to see your ancestors were farmers.
"row to hoe" indicates your family came off a farm
"road to hoe" indicates a more seedy past, chain gang
What does your family say?
If you have chopped cotton (I have) or worked in your family’s garden (I have) then you know the meaning of “row to hoe”. I never heard the term “road to hoe”. BTW, I still live on a farm.
learned early on
the difference between johnson grass and corn
and morning glory and cotton

Minor complaint on the location
Actually more then minor
9 seeded Creighton to Fort Worth
9 seeded Marquette to Fort Worth
Lazy bracketing sending us to Portland
Swap us with one of those two
But, excited to watch team play Boise State, then likely Gonzaga
We have the athletes to compete and what an opportunity
Lester will be key if we get there
We’ll beat Boise State
According to the NCAA s curve, Boise was the #1 eight seed and Memphis was the 4th 9 seed, so they got sent to the worst site for the 9th.
I guess had Memphis won, the Tigers would have gotten a more favorable 8 seed...maybe taking SDSU's spot with the right to play Creighton/Kansas in Ft. Worth.
Not much of an improvement.
Sh*t.. May be that horrible loss to Georgia came back to haunt us.. Just checking stats.. Georgia ended up with 1-17 in the SEC and 6-26 record overall
May be the NCAA Committee was like, this Memphis team could beat anybody in the country but could lose to just anybody.

Gonzaga doesn’t scare me. We have the athletes to put them on their heels. Baylor stunned them in last years title game with their length and quickness and so can we.
If we beat Boise, all the pressure should be off no one will pick us against Gonzaga. Just roll the ball and play basketball anything can happen

I see the road and the convicts, but show me a hoe in that picture. The expression is a misnomer. It’s an incorrect corruption of a valid term that every farmer knows.
Covington tiger is right.
