Last 18 in; we are doomed. We better pray we win tomorrow and hope all the bid stealers lose.

Interesting. Without playing a game we’ve gone from 11 to 8. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that happen. This Tiger team is gonna be hard for the committee to seed. No matter who is matched with us, they will not be happy. It reminds me of the year 8 seed Kentucky got matched with 1 seed Gonzaga.

Smu is now the first team out.

Makes one wonder if lunardi has connections to someone on the selection committee. I mean 11 seed to 8?

Because 11 was dumb to begin with and lunardi is kinda bad anyways

RE: Lunardi bracket 3/10 (Memphis moves up)
Lunardi is brilliant.

Not because he's accurate, hell none of them are. Because he created a new sports science and has made a living out of it. He teaches a Bracketology class at St. Joseph's University, for crying out loud. Fans bust on him because he has their team seeded too low or on the bubble or one of the first teams out. He's for entertainment purposes only. To get people talking about the tournament, which they do. Media and fans alike. Crap, there are 5 threads on the first page of MT.org that have his name in the title. Right or wrong...accurate or way off base...he's winning the game.

Lunardi's latest where Memphis is an 8, is set up about as well as an 8 could ask for a potential deep run.

I love that bracket.

That’s been the rumor. Injuries aren’t considered in making the tournament but can have big impact on seeding once in the field. We may be getting a bump but it would be the first time the NCAA threw us a bone

But then again it could just be a way to screw us. 10 seeds have easier path to sweet 16, especially this Memphis team who will have superior athletes to every other seed close to us

I see how not playing a game has helped our seed —If we can not play for a few more days we can be a 5 seed!04-rock04-rock

I think that was 8 seeded ky in undefeated Wichita State’s bracket

Refs stopped calling ky for any fouls and they won late

Was heavily pulling for WSU not because they were playing ky but because they were a lot of fun. Memphis was an 8 seed that year too, in Virginia’s bracket…2014

RE: Lunardi bracket 3/10 (Memphis moves up)
Jerry Palm on CBS Sports has us as an 11 seed vs 6 Colorado St. The path would then be 3 Illinois, 2 Kansas, 1 Auburn. I'd take that.

SMU would have a play-in game in Dayton vs Xavier, which would suck. Houston has a 6 seed.

Since the AAC tournament final ends about an hour before the selection show begins, I think that if the final is between Memphis and Houston, the winner gets a 6 and the loser gets a 7 or 8. If it's between Houston and SMU, then Houston gets a 6 no matter what. If SMU wins, they get a 9/10 seed and we get an non-play-in 11. If they lose, reverse that.

At one point the fouls were 12-11 Kentucky. Then 8 out of the last 10, and 10 out of the last 13 fouls were called on Wichita.

Yeah he's playing catch-up. 11-seed made no sense to begin with. He's either figuring that out, or he's been talking to someone.

Hey - at least he's correcting. Unlike bozo Palm who still has us an 11-seed. At least Palm did walk-back his statement about Memphis-SMU semifinals being an elimination game. Now he says that's only true for SMU.

On Bracket Matrix, it lists each team and shows which each service projects your seed to be. 10 seed is our median, mean and mode.

I have trouble believing we go much higher. I'm enjoying all the chatter about us. Thank God we brought it vs Houston on a huge national stage!

I expect us to be a 10 vs a good "mid major" 7 seed- Murray St, Boise St or Colorado St.

We are in 128/129 brackets in the bracket matrix

This is the only one we missed. A pretty non serious effort, not just our omission
