IMHO - signing Iggy Allen did not work out. Today 8-24, for the season she accounts for almost 25% of the teams shots and only hits 36%. I watched her all season. She was a selfish ball hog. Coach made a huge mistake.

She's a big personality. But I think Ajah's injury had more to do with their early exit. She was the key to this squad.

I get it, but she can't shoot, yet continued to all season. Coach should have made her adjust.

If Ajah was healthy I thought they had a chance to win it all. Good season. Good coach. The future looks good and I’m hopeful we will continue on the road back to greatness.

The future looks uncertain at best. This team wasn't very deep and has major holes to fill. Next season could be a very tough rebuilding year.

RE: Lady Monarchs in Frisco, TX
Some of the seniors could come back because the NCAA granted a group of players an extra year because of games missed due to CIVID. Don’t know if any will return or transfer or simply move on. Also some of the freshmen who saw little action might feel there future is brighter elsewhere. And, of course, there could be attractive offers to the head coach. I have no idea who will be recruited (have seen nothing in that regard) or who will leave. There were several injuries near the end that cost the team depth. Wayne’s injury was devastating. Here are my concerns moving forward:
1) Lack of shooting ability — overall, it was dreadful
2) Lack of 3 point shooting — no one could hit consistently
3) Poor 3 point defense — at times, teams with a good shooter killed ODU
4) Lack of help defense down low
5) Reliance on one player to take most shots. That player shot a lot and missed a lot. And when she was off, she was really off.
6)And my biggest gripe — few newcomers saw the floor and few were developed or incorporated into the team

I thought from the games I watched, they were a poor rebounding team and poor free throw shooting. But I did not follow them as close as I used to in the past. I did not like when the women's game went to 4 quarters.

RE: Lady Monarchs in Frisco, TX
We missed Vicky Morris' 3-point shooting big time. No question in my mind we would've advanced had she still been with us. Having her in the lineup last year took some of the pressure off Aziah Hudson for making 3's. Although Iggy made some difficult shots this year, including a number of critical 3-pointers, I also tend to agree that she could have engaged others more often than she did. Too many missed shots at critical times. If I had a wish, I'd have Coach Milton-Jones go find a high percentage 3-point shooter. I don't care where. We definitely do need one. Go Monarchs!

The cupboard may not be as empty next year as some of you may think:
