farewell CAA Tournament / awards
Vado Morse - 2nd team all CAA
No other jmu mentions.
Cam Holden - 1st team & All defensive - wanted to come to JMU but we could not get him in -
I used to love the CAA tourney in Richmond. sure the stadium was a dump, but the environment was electric. The marriott was next door for drinks in between games. VCU, Mason, ODU, UNCW, & Jmu always had a great following. with the right match up in the final game and you would have 10k plus in the arena. This was he height of the CAA. top notch hoops with passionate fans.
So when they moved the CAA tourney to DC 4 years ago, being a Arlington resident, I was looking forward to attending the tournament close to home.
year 1 - Rowe play in game - skipped it
year 2 - covid cancellation
year 3 - moved tourney to JMU
year 4 - jmu ineligible
kind of the story for JMU and the CAA at the end, it just never worked out.

I'm honestly surprised the CAA put any of our players on the teams. Can't wait to see those CAA logos ripped off the arena floor.

When the time comes, I think they should make an fund raising event out if, that could be a big'o party, even stream it on the old Madizone.
