The Lady Monarchs (22-7, 12-5) end the regular season Saturday 3/5 with a 3 PM contest on the road against MTSU (21-6, 13-4). ODU won a tight game (58-56) last month at home against MTSU. The Lady Monarchs lost their last game at LA Tech Wednesday 65-62. MTSU won on the road at Charlotte 72-65 Wednesday.

MTSU's expected starters are -

5'-6" S Saar, 11.4 points
6'-0" JR Whitson, 12.6 points
6'-6" F Boldeyreva, 7.6 points
5'-11" S Whittington, 7.8 points
5'-8" F Gregory, 10.7 points

Still no word on Ajah Wayne’s injury?

Part of ODU’s issue is that hardly any of the freshmen saw the court, so none were developed enough to step in and provide significant help when an injury occurred. Instead of relying on off-the-bench help, healthy starters were asked to play more and more minutes, whether they were shooting 1 of 11 or 8 of 9. ODU did have several injuries this year that thinned the bench considerably — all the more reason to develop a deep bench early.

The elephant in the room is that this is not a good shooting team
