Lost one of the good ones
We lost 2000 CAA Champion and NCAA qualifier Dennis Whitby on Saturday.
Dennis was a dear friend and a fun-loving being who many who frequented the Oceanfront would have likely run into during the summer months as he worked a number of beach-oriented gigs in the summer as well as spent time as an avid surfer.

His widow Eileen has been through some pretty terrible stuff the last year, this just being the latest tragedy. Because there's no program for our alumni and friends to contribute to in his honor, a GoFundMe has been set up for Eileen.

Rip to Dennis and condolences to you and other friends. It was all over my Facebook today. I didn't know him but he clearly had a positive and lasting impact on a lot of people.

Dennis was a great dude. He had an aura about him that put a smile on everyone's face. It was impossible not to like him.

+1 From looking around seems really well liked and a positive person overall. RIP Dennis.

I have a friend who works with his widow. She has had a very rough year. My prayers go out to her and her family.

Its always tough when they are young and even worse when they have a young one. Hopefully family and friends are able to lend a helping hand. Here's the fundraiser link for anyone who want to contribute.
