Well, Withers was an alum. 03-lmfao

So was CK. Maybe Charlie and Withers can help get it going.

I don't know but seems like a good idea to look into for all our new conference competition for tailgates and other events.

RE: Boone NC alumni
Good morning. Just wanted to advise about alumni gatherings in Boone. Our Twitter Mob is a group of relentless twits that have no problem shaming businesses and restaurants in town that cater to outside alumni groups. Coastal alumni worked with the App Alumni Department and was able to organize a get together last season at a local restaurant. The twits took to social media and were able to shame the business into canceling the event. I don’t wish to discourage the gatherings, just want to be proactive in letting you know that we have a few peckerheads that think it’s cool to be such. Most of us look forward to your visits.

Thanks. Sounds like a sophisticated and welcoming group. I read about it when I was on the alumni page helping my daughter connect with Northern VA alumni and noticed the one in Boone was new since last time I checked. ASU was featured in national news this year for the disgraceful actions of their fans at a football game so I guess I'm not surprised.

If you are referring to the Marsha thing, yes, it was unfortunate and embarrassing. Not the worst thing that I have seen, but still uncalled for. Those individuals were identified and had their privilege to attend games revoked. Every fan base has a$$hats, but you also have fans that will stick up for the visiting fans that are treated harshly.

I have a high tolerance for fans talking smack, it goes both ways...As long as there is no physical contact and we are talking about lit college buddies blowing off steam, have at it...

When ladies/kids are present, gotta tone it down a few notches

True there are bad eggs everywhere. And Boone is in a beautiful area and a great town. That's where former voice of the Dukes Dave Thomas moved to.

The alumni department should call this out and say App is better than that. Likewise, the business should’ve laughed and gone through with it anyways.

Don’t let the vocal minority win. They’ll just keep doing it.

Hey, AppSt94, last time we were in Boone, you provided entertainment in the form of a Streaker during the halftime show. Will we have the pleasure of such in the future?

We sell alcohol in the stadium now, so I don’t see why not.
