Imagine him with Euro refs. Not that they'd give him much more than he was getting the other day, but still.

RE: UAB v. WKU
Watching some of that first WKU game (from the YouTube video in the first post) and you realize how very much the game has changed in forty years. The 3-point line really transformed how the game is played offensively (and the shot clock too).

I remember being there, in the stands, sitting directly behind Mayor Arrington, who clearly did not understand how to operate a shaker, and just about put my eye out several times. I missed the Kentucky game two days later for a baseball road game at MTSU, though we were able to watch the final seconds in the parking lot on someone's TV they had in the back of their van.

RE: UAB v. WKU
UAB is a 3 point favorite tonight.

This is a "black-out" game for WKU which may work in UAB's favor.

Quote:BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - WKU Hilltopper Basketball returns to E.A. Diddle Arena for a Black Out game against UAB at 8 p.m. CT Thursday. The game will air nationally on CBS Sports Network.

It seems that teams that worry about what people are wearing rather than the game itself typically underperform during those "special" games.

We did it every year for several years against Memphis and always lost

And having a white out or black out or whatever wasn't the reason why UAB lost those games.

Correct. We lost because of the "Beat Memphis" shirts.

And I always thought it was stupid and a total waste of effort. The worst being a football game at Troy where fans were relentlessly begged to show up in white. It is a needless distraction. There is a reason they are associated with that team losing much more than not.

Yeah. Watching the first half without seeing the score, felt like we would have been down 4-6 at the half. But oh yeah, Jelly touched them in the blink of an eye and we got good production from Ertel and that’s the difference.

Buffen needs to come out in the second half and make a mark on the game.

Brown got in a couple of minutes, not sure why Johnson has fallen out of favor recently.

We gotta find a way to keep Toney here 4 years. Dudes going to explode after this season.

We gotta find a way to get Toney calmed down when it’s time to be calm. He only has one speed right now and it sometimes gets him in trouble.

So I just looked on the ESPN app and WKU has been called for two, count them, two fouls to UAB’s seven.
