NCAA changes transgender rules
https://www.athleticbusiness.com/operati...ion-policy

NCAA apparently had a lot looser rules than the IOC and got criticism for a Penn swimmer who has been dominating women's events.

"...In a statement of the NCAA’s website, the association notes that the new policy aligns with new policy changes issued from the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and International Olympic Committee.

Like the Olympics, the updated NCAA policy calls for transgender participation for each sport to be determined by the policy for the national governing body of that sport, subject to ongoing review and recommendation by the NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports to the Board of Governors. If there is no NGB policy for a sport, that sport's international federation policy would be followed. If there is no international federation policy, previously established IOC policy criteria would be followed...."

For those not familiar with the Penn swimmer issue--Lia Thomas was previously a solid men's swimmer for Penn.

NCAA changes transgender rules
I read a report earlier that a fellow female teammate on the Penn team is also accusing Thomas of cheating, by colluding with a transgender swimmer from Yale (vag to tally wacker). It appears Thomas recently lost a couple races to her and the swimmer states that the two were speaking before the race, and that she and other fans in attendance noticed that Thomas wasn’t “trying” during the race.

Allegedly, the accuser is saying that Thomas is attempting to spin a story that runs along the lines of “see, a natural female beat me”. Included in the story was the fact that Thomas’ time in both races was a few seconds slower than Thomas’ own times in earlier races… allegedly proving Thomas may have lost the race on purpose to fit Thomas’ narrative of competing with females.

NCAA basically said, "not it" as a CYA if lawsuits eventually come calling. By saying cases will be look at on a sport-by-sport basis the NCAA is putting the responsibility on each sporting body instead of itself.

Yep. Classic cop out.

In doing so, the NCAA basically formally neutered itself of any ability to lead.

Yes. It should be included in the Johnson report.

They've been doing a LOT of that of late.

Soon enough they should just dissolve it and let it go the way of the Dodo bird. It's becoming the wild west out there.

Gee willikers, we have a neutered ncaa, a male who wants to be a female and a female that wants to be a male. I wonder how those two would have sex the usual male to female way? *SOB* I'm so confused!!

Spot on. This is the NCAA trying to say look, we did something when in actuality, they punted and tried their best NOT to to get in the middle of it. They've always been toothless and somewhat of a joke.

Good lord, I can't even believe this is an issue. How stupid is this country.

If a guy wants to wear a dress or if some chick wants to put a chain on their wallet, whatever. But when it comes to sports, compete against what you are... whether you like it or not.

BINGO!

Such a simple idea that not many get. If a girl wants to get a crew cut, wear pants to her butt like the style now and act like a guy go for it. But don't try to compete against men because you'll lose but if you're a man who wants to dress like a woman (stupid idea but Scots do it, LOL) but those Scots don't want to beat up on women in a competition.

Only a matter of time before a fully abled-body person psychologically identifies as an amputee in order to compete in the Paralympics.
