Very good half by the Jacks. With all that though ACU cutting to 12 and getting momentum is huge if they can come out and get a few stops. Might turn out to be a closer game that it looked like. I hope it is. I demand entertainment.

The Jacks usually don’t shoot this well from 3.

I think they have been keenly focused on tonight, especially since their cancelled games. It is showing. It's not just their 3s, but their speed to the ball, blocking and rebounding. They have shut us out like no one else so far this year. The 2nd half should be interesting.

ACU gets the game within 3 before SFA hits another shot. We are at 58-51 with 2:37 left after a couple of foul shots.

For Chi St, considering their recent history, 100 is ok.

Omg that block looked like a charge. But on the play before looked like the three pt shooter was fouled and didn’t see much on the drive. Definitely looked like a charge. But I’m not a ref.

SFA takes out ACU 64-58. Nothing worked for us tonight, even with really good defense. We simply couldn't get any good shots.

ACU’s defense is exhausting, turnovers all over the place [26) ugly win for the Jacks put we will take it.

Kensmil with 13 points, 7 boards, 2 assists 1 steal, and a block, as SFA improves to 9-4.

Lopes win on the road against UTRGV 84-70. Playing at RGV is always tough due to the travel requirements. According to Coach Drew today was especially tough since their flight the night before got canceled due to Covid. They had to fly out this morning then take a two hour bus ride. They then only got a couple hours rest before game time.
Glad we got the win and this game is now behind us. On to Lamar Saturday. Hopefully, there will be a game.
GCU is now 12-2 and 2-0 in the WAC.

ACU should try to play to win every game. 05-stirthepot

That crowd was bad. It still beat the week Sam Houston for attendance versus Lamar and RGV. It'd hate to see how poorly the Bearkats would draw if they weren't playing local, in state rivals. SHS has had just over 500 fans at their last 3 home games combined...Smh.

Keep in mind that most students are home over winter break, which hurts the crowd size. It takes a really strong fan base to maintain good crowds without the students and also usually means consistent winning,

You're right. 131 people at the RGV game is perfectly normal if its during the Christmas break. Without a "really strong fan base" I don't know how any D1 teams top 150...

Against non-D1 teams in UT-Permian Basin and Northern NM Community College, NMSU had 4315 and 4086 fans. No students on campus.

Congratulations on winning, and being clearly dominant all game.

But if it was a two hour bus ride you made a strange choice of airport, or had a really slow bus. There are two airports way closer than that; MFE (20 minutes) or HRL (45 minutes).

Thanks for this info. Coach Drew's postgame interview said it was a two hour bus ride. I wonder which airport they went to.
